Monitoring Committee, strategic plan

Each country in the EU shall develop a so-called strategic plan that describes the country's agricultural policy for the years 2023–2027. In the strategic plan, it states, for example, which goals we shall achieve and what you can receive support and compensation for. To follow the work with the strategic plan, there is a monitoring committee, which includes Local Development Sweden.

Each country in the EU shall develop a so-called strategic plan that describes the country's agricultural policy for the years 2023–2027. In the strategic plan, it states, for example, which goals we shall achieve and what you can receive support and compensation for.

To follow the work with the strategic plan, there is a monitoring committee. The committee's task is to

  • review all issues that affect the strategic plan's goal fulfillment
  • monitor how the goals of the plan are achieved with the help of indicators (for example, how many have applied for the supports, what results and effects they have produced)
  • express opinions on the reports that are sent to the EU Commission each year
  • express opinions on the plan for the evaluation of the strategic plan as well as proposals for changes to the strategic plan.

The committee includes representatives from, among others, authorities, organizations working with environmental and climate issues, business and labor market partners, and organizations representing civil society.
