Local Development Sweden has three areas that we have chosen to focus our work on. Here you can read more about them.
Focus area 1
Collaboration for locally led development through the Leader method
Based on our members' needs, we want to engage in a dialogue with central actors. All to create conditions for a successful implementation of locally led development through the leader method across the country.
The bottom-up perspective that we and the associations around Sweden represent should become a valuable contact point for politics and relevant departments. Our ambition is also to constructively support today's managing authority so that innovations for investments and development become easy for the rural area's enthusiasts.
Focus area 2
Quality enhancement in member organizations
There is a large amount of competence and knowledge within our member organizations, therefore we want to work for an increased exchange of knowledge between the organizations. Our fundamental belief is that this approach brings the greatest benefit, but our members' needs for training in subjects such as employer responsibility and the board's responsibility should be investigated.
Focus area 3
International cooperation
Local Development Sweden sees great value in our membership in ELARD. Information exchange with our European colleagues presents great opportunities and contributes to our ability to implement locally led development even better.
By taking leadership in ELARD, we can also work to further improve the method – both in Europe and in Sweden.
